A Financial Controller makes sure the numbers are reliable, on time and under control. A Finance Director uses those numbers to shape strategy, funding and big decisions. Most growing businesses need the first before the second.
Do I need to replace my bookkeeper?
No. Your bookkeeper keeps doing the day-to-day. I oversee their work, set up a proper month-end, and make sure what comes out is something you can use.
Which software do you work with?
Any. I work with whatever your business already uses, including bespoke systems, and I’m a Xero and QuickBooks specialist.
Is there a minimum term?
Every package starts with an initial three-month term. It takes a few months to understand your company and start putting changes in place, so that’s when you’ll begin to see real results. After that, packages are billed monthly in advance and run month to month. Notice is one month on Finance Partner and two months on Financial Controller and Finance Director, in writing.
Can you also do my year-end accounts and tax?
Yes, alongside a monthly package. You may prefer someone independent of the day-to-day to do it, which helps if the business is ever audited, and I’ll say so if that applies to you. See accounts and tax for existing clients.
