Who prepares the management accounts?
Your bookkeeper or in-house team. I review and explain them. If nobody in the business produces them, I can produce them as an add-on to Finance Partner, or that becomes Financial Controller, where production and control are included.
Is this an outsourced finance department?
It’s an outsourced finance function in one senior person. You keep your bookkeeper; I add the monthly review, the forecast and the commentary a finance department would give you, without the headcount. If you need the management accounts and forecast produced as well as reviewed, that’s Financial Controller.
Can I move up to a bigger package later?
Yes. Many businesses start here and move up as they grow. The fee changes, the relationship doesn’t.
Is there a minimum term?
Every package starts with an initial three-month term. It takes a few months to understand your company and start putting changes in place, so that’s when you’ll begin to see real results. After that, packages are billed monthly in advance and run month to month. Notice is one month on Finance Partner and two months on Financial Controller and Finance Director, in writing.
